From a young age, I knew I wanted to be a doctor, inspired by early childhood experiences and my mother’s nursing career. Growing up in St. Louis during a golden era of medicine, I was captivated by physician’s artistry, watching surgeries and listening to stories around the dinner table.
My early aspirations of becoming a vascular surgeon evolved as I explored diverse interests from forensic anthropology to emergency medical
services shaping my resilient and adaptable path.
I pursued a degree in anthropology at Washington University, where a lecture ignited my fascination with forensic anthropology, prompting a detour from traditional pre-med paths. This journey led me to nursing first- a detour I am so grateful for. I earned my BSN and MSN, and began my career working alongside
experienced, old-school family doctors in Hermann, MO, where I gained invaluable hands-on experience and a broad scope of practice. I learned about the needs of individuals- how to tailor care to what is right for the
person, not the population at large. My journey took a transformative turn in 2007 when a patient encouragement and my faith inspired me to pursue medical school. Through the Oceania University of Medicine, I balanced motherhood, marriage, and rigorous studies, ultimately completing my MD and residency at Mercy Family Medicine in St. Louis. As a Chief Resident, I honed my skills and deepened my commitment to primary care.
Today, I am proud to serve as a family physician in Hermann, O’Fallon and Washington MO caring for my community with compassion. My clinical passion extends beyond traditional medicine into hormone therapy
and medical laser aesthetics, areas where I can help patients optimize their health and appearance. I am honored to be a part of Washington University’s legacy of healing and service. I believe in treating the whole
